Owner, Director

I’m Jill Coats, the director and creative force behind One Forty Films. I launched One Forty Films in 2018 after realizing that the videos I was creating for my employer weren’t just getting views—they were driving real results, bringing in leads, and closing sales. That’s when it hit me: I could do this for other companies too.

For years, I was a one-woman band, saying yes to just about anything—weddings, local businesses, even a guy who sold ridiculously long pants for tall dudes. As my business grew, so did my team. Today, while I lead the creative vision for every project, I don’t do it alone. Depending on the needs of each production, I bring in the best cinematographers, editors, sound engineers, and creatives from my trusted network. This flexible approach allows me to build the perfect team for every project—whether it’s a high-energy brand campaign, a documentary-style story, or a dynamic content library.

With a sharp eye for storytelling and a deep love for adventure, I create films that capture authenticity, connection, and movement. Let’s bring your story to life—with the right crew behind it.

"I'm an online educator for photographers and hired Jill to film the biggest online course I've ever made (for adventure wedding photographers). This course was 19 film days, in 4 states, over 10 months. Many of these days were 12-16 hours long... starting before dark, staying out late after dark, hiking up a mountain and shooting in the rain.
